December 31, 2008: Happy New Year's Eve, folks! I hope 2008 was an excellent year for everyone, and that your New Years resolutions are all lined up and ready to go! In 2009, Kyasor is looking to expand -- but we'll need more members, to do it. Our dream is to have this world really influenced by the players; quests will open new locations and strange magic, the outcome of exploration will determine the species or races brought into the course of the game. Though Kyasor is presently very complex from a political and social standpoint, Al and I really want to bring out more intricacies in the environment itself, and for that we need a lot more participation. So let's get movin', guys! Invite your friends, contact games that are larger than ours, and take the initiative to engage with the world around you. Kyasor is open-ended; we want you to decide what path it takes. On a side-note, I welcome feedback from current members and visitors! September 4, 2008: Well, after an excruciatingly long battle with our webhost, streamline.net, we are finally back up and running. I am sorry it took a month, everyone! Al and I are planning on switching hosts, so hopefully this will never happen again. All that said, it warms my little heart that everyone turned up as soon as we were back on the air. You are all wonderful, and I am inexpressibly proud to be part of such a dedicated community of creative writers. Thank you all! -Nicias

July 28, 2008: Welcome Briar, playing Ashhai (an Aiacusian, folks)! The link on the magic page works, and the spell list should be finished tonight or tomorrow, depending on how well everyone responds to my spell-list revision party. Only two fields still need work, the rest just need to be put up (coding is exhausting, sorry I can't do it all in one fell swoop) but, a note everyone: As soon as the spell list is up, no new characters will be accepted with proficiency beyond "awakened", or one spell. Also, if you want to request magic, I am going to require that you provide two alternative fields to your main preference. I'm making these changes because I want people to have to learn the magic or go on quests to try and acquire it. Thank you! -Nic

July 22, 2008: A very warm welcome to Ray, playing Zakai! Nysthera's numbers are growing, leaving us in further need of Aiacusians to hate them (haw haw). You all should know that the political stuff happening on Nysthera is probably going to have an effect on Aiacus shortly, so there's plenty of opportunity to get in on some action there! -Nic

June 25, 2008: We have some good news and some bad news, girls and guys. The good news is we have a new member! Welcome Jae! Those of you in Nysthera will be seeing Jae's character real soon so keep up the good work and continue being the more active island. Aiacus maybe you should pick it up a bit =P. The bad news is Nicias doesn't have internet; something about a man digging a trench, killing the internet. No matter, we'll keep it trucking until Nicias is back. Keep up the good work. I'm gonna go advertise.

June 10, 2008: Nicias again. The boards are up, in a manner of speaking, but the information is not all there yet and I haven't put a skin on the thing -- after tomorrow it WILL NOT look so default! I promise. If you are an existing player (aka you have already been accepted) you can go ahead and register your character (only one account per character, please) but DO NOT POST until the boards are finished, please. That should be tomorrow, so you won't have long to wait.

June 7, 2008: Hey folks, Nicias here. I am in the process of converting the site to forum-based boards (phpbb, if you're interested) so some big changes are going to happen to this place as I am doing that. A lot of your old links are not going to work. If you do not have us saved in your favorites as http://www.canticleofheroes.co.uk PLEASE do that, at least for now. In light of these changes there will be a lot of new stuff in the "Begin" section, so keep and eye out for that as well. Thank you!

May 29, 2008: We have a new affiliate; Aztersil.net. It's a great site and I play there so you should definately check it out. Also, if you're still around don't fret Nicias and I will be back hard at work once I speak with her about a few things. We plan on getting this site up and running strong for the summer.

May 18, 2008: Nicias is done with school and soon I will also have enough freetime on my hands to keep up with this site and advertise properly. If you're still here, let us know but we don't expect you to be. We're just putting this here to let everyone know we're not dead and we'll be around.

March 22, 2008: Spring has sprung, and with the coming of a new season comes some much needed cleaning up. I've sent all of you e-mails which you shouldve have gotten: reply to them, show up here, or make a quick post and you're safe from deletion. If you fail to do one of those three things...well, I warned you.

March 12, 2008: We're still around guys, don't worry. Activity needs to pick up though and if for some reason you no longer want to play please let us know. It does us no good to have idle characters filling up the memberlist.

February 7, 2008: Welcome Cody, Jaded and Guy! Last night Nicias added Elkor Alish(played by cody) to the memberslist. This afternoon I added Ezekiel and Rodney(played by Guy). And just a few moments ago I added Jadyn(played by Jaded). See I told you guys members are going to start rolling in. So today I had nothing to do so I spent a few hours advertising and sent out emails to our less active members. Hopefully we'll be hearing from them soon. Aside from that not a whole lot is up. Keep up the good work and keep posting guys. I have a good feeling about Kyasor's future!

January 27, 2008: Welcome back to DragonClaw! Keon is on the Nystheran Roster again, but we are still waiting to hear from Dollface (are you still alive??). Otherwise the current memberlist is updated. I'm sorry I haven't been around much; last monday was my 21st birthday and, well, the whole week has been chaos. January 16, 2008: Updated the join page and memberlist today. Aleyah has joined two new characters, and filled the much-needed position of Captain of the Guard! Thanks, Aleyah! December 17, 2007: Fireclaw's got a new character on the memberlist, Ruriel! Everyone should go and admire the impeccable hair style, and probably admonish me for taking so long to post the profile. I took Keon off the list; Dragonclaw, if you are still around and want me to restore him, please let me know. Other than that I've been working on the board descriptions and some graphics for both the boards and the information pages, as well as hacking away at the master spell list. The latter is HARD! If you have a crazy-cool idea for a spell, you should let Al or myself know. On all other counts, feedback would be greatly appreciated! And I still need quotes for a few of the boards. December 2, 2007: Well, streamline wasn't allowing us to edit the site for a few days but we have all that squared away now. There isn't really much to be said except keep up the great work posting guys and hopefully we'll draw in some new members soon. Aside from that I coded a new advertising template which I should be able to put up on the site once I speak with Nicias. In the meantime, if you'd like to help us advertise just drop us an email asking for the code and I'll forward it to you.

November 24, 2007: Welcome Dragonclaw! That's two new members(both with the name Claw) in a week. Remember guys, November is almost over so if you haven't voted for Kyasor in the cinnamon gum awards head on over and vote.

November 8, 2007: Wonderful job guys, keep those votes coming. We're 24th in the Best Storyteller's 200+ and 99 in the dice roller's top 100! I'm psyched. Enough said.

November 7, 2007: Nicias here. I have updated the rules section, in light of Al's abuse of the NPC system (yeah, that's right...even the mods can't powerplay). The new rules for NPC's are: 1), NPC's may not have strong magic, and 2) NPC's may be played by anyone in the game. I am trying to nip a possible precedence for powerful npc entourages in the bud. Thanks everyone!

November 4, 2007: Not much is new guys. We've got a lot of threads going finally but as usual no new members. Its starting to get frustrating but I don't plan on giving up. So keep advertising and spread the word on Kyasor as much as possible!

October 28, 2007: A few good things happened this week. Azelah is back, which is amazing for Aiacusian activity. The Dodger and Faxon thread is moving along nicely as is the Nama/Lelu thread. As usual we're slow but steady, and I've been advertising like mad. Other than that nothing is really new. Nicias and I are going to discuss getting the final Spell sheet up in a day or two so that'll be a nice read for you all!

October 23, 2007: Well, not much is new with the site aside from the fact that we'll probably have the spell sheet up in a day or so. Nicias finally revealed its top secrets contents to me. ;) Also, I did a little bit of advertising so hopefully we'll get a nice flow of members sometime soon. Remember, keep voting for us on the Dice Roller's top 100 and on Best Storyteller, high ranks in both can help immensely. The only other thing I have to say is keep at it and keep posting. October 20, 2007: I'm bored so I decided I'd update again. My muse is flaring up and its a gorgeous day out so I really want to post, or rather I want someone to post to me so I can post back! I advertised a lot and hopefully it'll yield some results. I'd also appreciate it if you guys took some time to check out the voting box on the OOC board. We're already 35 in the Best Story Teller's list of 200+ so pushing us even higher would help immensely. Also, we still need a player for Anexelei! September 27, 2007: Okay folks! The new boards are up thanks to Nicias's genius. I've been advertising nonstop and have even added a new affiliate. I urge all of you too advertise as well. We need members!! AHH!! Alright, well I've actually decided not to delete any more updates so you all can track our progress. I have to say I've very entertained by the Melane and Drinian thread so keep up the good work guys. So enough with the rambling, I'm off to bed.
